Angelo Patri letter to Lola L. Kovener [manuscript], 1937 Feb 9.

In letter to autograph seeker Kovener, Pati writes that he has no need of a secretary of her "capacity and capability" as he has one who has been with him since he began work. He hopes that she will soon find work and will keep her letter.

Educator and author, born in Italy in Salerno. Patri came to the U.S. in the 1880s. He was the first Italian American principal of a New York City Public School. He wrote a syndicated newspaper column on the education of children and seven books for educators and parents and several books for children, including a translation of Pinocchio.
